About Crime Stoppers of Grey-Bruce
A community partnership of the public, media, and police — working to solve crime.
What is Crime Stoppers?
Crime Stoppers is a community-based program that encourages people to call our toll-free1-800-222-TIPS (8477) number or submit a secure web tip with information about crimes that have been committed or are about to occur, and the whereabouts of wanted persons, stolen property, or illegal narcotics.
Information you provide is forwarded anonymously to investigators. You won’t be asked to identify yourself, you don’t have to appear in court, and you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
Who operates Crime Stoppers?
A group of concerned citizens forms the Volunteer Board of Directors. The Board administers the program, raises and controls funds, and manages reward payments to tipsters.
Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce Inc. is incorporated as a charitable organization. It isnot government funded. Community donations and fundraising make the program possible.
